Pulpit Minister

Mark has served as Pulpit Minister for the Church in the Falls, since August, 1993. Prior to that, Jill and Mark spent sixteen years in church planting and evangelistic work among the Flemish-speaking people of Belgium. After graduating from Western Christian College in Saskatchewan, Canada with an A. A. degree in Bible (’71) and from Oklahoma Christian with a B. Music Ed. and a B. A. in Bible (’75), Mark served as a youth minister for the Weyburn church of Christ (Canada) for two years.

Presently, Mark majors in balancing his time between serving the King and being a husband to his wife, Jill (Drummond), father to his five children. Mark and Jill are expecting their 4th grandchild in January. Jill works full-time as a preacher’s wife. She also works full-time as an “intervention specialist” at Stow High School, helping seniors graduate. And where are those Brazle kids? After graduating from Harding (BA) and ACU (MA), their oldest son, Luk, moved with his wife Holly, back to Belgium (’03) to work toward planting a church in Gent. Luk and Holly have two sons, Gideon and Isaak. Rebekka works as a therapist in Monroe, LA. She graduated from Harding (BA in Missions) and went on to complete her Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy at Harding. On Jan. 1, 2005, she married Adam Mathews, whom she met in the same Masters program. They presently plan to do church planting work in Vancouver, BC, after Adam completes his PhD at LSU in Monroe. Their son, Josiah David Mathews, was born on October 3, 2007 and went on to live with the Lord after just a few moments. They are expecting their second child in January, 09. David finished his Math Education degree at Rochester College in May, 2005 and married Lara Shaw at the end of that same month. He now teaches at Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Lara works as a social worker in a community center as well as a daycare. Karina is working as events coordinator at Rochester College. Kristina started the Nursing in Missions program at Harding in August, 2005. She is engaged to be married to Caleb Meeks on May 16, 2009.

Mark has written numerous study guides and educational materials in Dutch and English. He enjoys writing songs which serve as aids for memorization of Scripture. Mark has a passion for preaching and growing the Kingdom. He loves to teach God’s Message whether one on one, or in a group. It is with delight that Mark serves the Master with the Falls Family. “With a constant sense of wonder that God would invite humans to join Him in His work, we face everyday with anticipation of seeing what God will do around and through us! But what an overwhelming task! Taking the saving Good News to the whole world, living with hearts aglow with a passion for God’s mission must remain a priority! May God bless us as we watch and work and grow together.”
