Name: Laura and Steve Ross
Location: El Sauce, Honduras

Steve and Laura Ross's work centers around eight villages in the mountains of western Villanueva, Cortes, Honduras. Laura began full-time ministry in December of 2004. Steve is involved in networking, caring for the computer and communications, and "holding down the fort" when Laura is in Honduras. Their sons Dan, David, James, Tommy and their daughter-in-law Rachel have all served in Honduras with Laura and/or other mission groups.

Laura's first visit to Honduras was as a chaperone for a teen mission trip with the Church in the Falls in 1998. While there she fell in love with the country and her people and has been serving since that time. The first few years, Laura served on short term teams for two or three weeks a year. Now Laura is in Honduras approximately six months out of the year. When she is here in the states she continues to work full-time with Armor of Hope Ministries, developing faith based development programs that she will carry back with her to Honduras.

Armor of Hope Ministries, started by Laura and her husband Steve, exists to equip and support programs to underdeveloped and poverty stricken areas of Honduras. Their goal is to teach the Gospel of Christ to people using the avenues of Christ-centered training in appropriate technologies, community health programs, education and micro enterprise. We encourage ownership, growth, and spiritual and physical develpoment by working side-by-side with those we meet. Our goal is to win souls for Christ while making daily living more bearable.
