Benevolence
This ministry serves those who are in need. Members attracted to this ministry have the gifts of giving and sharing God’s love.
We all, at one time or another, need help with living day to day. The early church was active in sharing as there was need and it is our goal to emulate that first century practice.
The Church in the Falls oversees the Helping Hands ministry which is a community endeavor. This ministry provides many services including providing a food pantry. It is well maintained and provides food for those people with emergency situations when food is in short supply.
There is also assistance available for utilities, rent, and special needs. To ensure that we spend our funds wisely, there are qualifications asked when assistance is requested. Some financial situations may lead to free financial counseling. We are here to help as needed. We want to have a relationship and display God’s love to everyone we know.
Christ’s love for all runs far deeper than just physical needs and wants. He is the satisfier of our soul. We are all responsible in our service to Him. We are to love our neighbor as ourselves.
Hours of operation are 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
You are welcome to stop in on Sunday for worship at 10:00am with Bible Class starting at 9:00am.
If you are in need of help, you can call the church building and speak with our church secretary.
There are many loving people that work with this effort to make this ministry work. Every person that seeks aid can expect:
1. To be treated like a treasure of God and to be reminded of His sacrificial love.
2. To be offered a future opportunity to repay any or the entire amount.
3. To be offered a church group for support, love and spiritual growth.
4. To have the opportunity for financial counseling.
