About The Church in the Falls

We have no creed but Christ. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that He is the creator of the universe. Because of His great love, God gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die to redeem mankind from sin and death.

Being a Christian begins with responding to God’s love, making Jesus Christ the Lord of one’s life, and, in response to faith, being buried with Christ in baptism.

If you are examining faith in Jesus as an answer to many of life’s questions, we offer one-on-one or small group studies designed to help you in your search. However, if you have already formed a relationship with Christ, we welcome you to become active in the ministries of this church that fit your gifts.

About Churches of Christ and the Restoration Movement

Churches of Christ are non-denominational. Rather than having an official headquarters, in a central location, that dictates policies and procedures, each congregation is governed by elders. These elders make important decisions based upon biblical instruction. Currently, there are 13,198 Churches of Christ in the United States and even more throughout the rest of the world.

The Churches of Christ developed out of the Restoration Movement, which began in the 19th Century. The Christians of that time simply wanted to be Christians only, not Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, or any other denomination, just Christians. The idea was to restore the church to the first century model of the church as seen in the New Testament.
